formed in 2004, monogel was simply an after work activity when it was first started. Members of monogel all came from different bands, i.e. the pullover, tai tau fat, site access. It was the time when these bands just release their albums, and we all needed a breakthrough in music. It was also the time when all of us were single, with a lot of time on our hands. The influences of monogel came from the vintage school of rock, and our music follows the principles of self-amusing, zero thinking, and cool styling.

 

since its inception, monogel has been a fun but also seriously productive project. monogel released their debut album 'Harder-Babe' in June 2006 with 9 original compositions, which chronicled the musical journey of monogel in our first two years of rock and roll road trip.  we are currently working on some new materials, and are looking forward to performing and recording our new materials in the later part of 2008. more about monogel
