There is new magazine called The Band 樂人誌 that focuses on musician culture and ideas，published by Lenny Guo(郭達年）and sound engineer Jimi Wong. The first issue was published about 1 month ago. I enjoy this magazine very much and I think it’s a much needed publication in today’s Hong Kong music community. I have known Jimi from Blevel gatherings, and I had great pleasure to meet Lenny at The Band’s release party. I will be contributing an article to the next issue of The Band. Please support local musician and culture!

07年 ,一峰在北京大學一場小型音樂會上聽到小娟的聲音就已驚為天人，冒昧上前邀請她作他唱遊北京演唱會的嘉賓；之後一峰一直希望能與小娟有更多同台的合作及演出; 而這個想法將會成真 ... 一峰將於 09 年 6 月 24 至 27日與小娟及山谷裡的居民於香港藝術中心舉行四場名為「山谷裡的一峰」音樂會，以 unplugged 形式，吃吃人間煙火，玩玩有機音樂。

小娟與山谷裡的居民首張創作專輯「紅布‧綠花朵」
Chet Lam’s new album ‘My Lonely Planet’ will be available on 19 Jun. I have performed most of the bass parts in this album, and I have also helped arranged and co-produced 鼓浪雨, 不屬於我的鄉愁 and Last exit to Brooklyn. Starting this year I have been getting involved in pop music arrangement, thanks to trusting and courageous producers and singers such as Chet Lam and Harris Ho ‘hobing’, who is the producer for 兩面 a song from Joey Yung’s latest album ‘A time for us’ that I have arranged.
Some of you might have heard my ‘太陽下，我們向明天狂奔’ from an old 89268 compilation. That was the first time I release anything under CMgroovy. on 11 July, CMgroovy be the supporting act for Relax Pose’s Album Release Party at Phonograph, performing some of my original songs and some covers that I like. Relax Pose? Lawwaiyip’s new (sort of...) solo project. I guess at some point we all want to explore a different side of our musical self.

Tomorrow I will be traveling to Genting Malaysia for 2 concerts with Sammi Cheng. I started touring with the ‘Show Mi’ crew since Oct of last year, and we have already been to Shanghai, Singapore, USA, New Zealand and Australia. The band is super cool and we have a lot of fun on the road. This tour is going to kick off my productive autumn season after a relatively slow late spring and summer.
After I come back from Malaysia, I will be shifting into full gear in preparation for the Chet lam X The pancakes concert “One Cake One Live”. My 3rd time being a music director for a show after last year Bonnie Lam Siu Bo’s concert and the pancakes reverie concert no. 7.

just finished with the pancakes’ reverie concert no. 7 “sing and clap your hands with us”, my second concert as band leader. It was quite challenging to prepare not only the scores for the band members but also for the horn sections. I should really start learning how to use one of those score printing software... The show was great, and the audiences are super responsive. We all had a great time, hope you all did too!
